Signal Hill Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will hold an “Afternoon Tea” on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at The Garlands of Barrington. The program, titled, “Remembering Marshall Field’s,” will be presented by author and historian, Leslie Goddard, who brings history to life in a fun, inspiring and educational way. This annual event supports the chapter’s ability to contribute to a variety of organizations that share DAR values, including historic preservation, education, patriotism, conservation, and Native Americans. More details to come!
Once again, the annual Afternoon Tea and Program was held virtually over Zoom on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Members gathered friends and family in their homes for camaraderie and enjoyment of this year’s presenter, Lynn Rymarz, who portrayed artist Mary Cassatt. Prior arrangements had been made for participants to vie for ownership of eight beautiful baskets, donated by members. Winners’ names were drawn at the conclusion of the event.
